The Gallery – My Backyard

The theme for this weeks The Gallery is “My Backyard”.
This year I actually really enjoy being in my garden. It’s so exciting seeing all the different veg and flowers growing and realising that it is much easier to “grow your own” than I once thought. It is most thrilling to eat cauliflower cheese and salads when the ingredients come from my own back garden. Zero air miles!
Above is a tiny corner of my huge garden…. see below;
And some lovely lil flowers and veg growing at the mo….
Who knew potato flowers were so pwetty?
The honeysuckle is looking gorgeous!
And the Runner Beans are starting to appear!

You have a huge garden!
I know and I do love it but sometimes it’s almost too big, especially as we don’t have a sit on mower. The front garden is also big, takes about 30 mins to mow the back lawn and over an hour for the back!
wow!!!! Endless fun there! cricket…soccer…badminton, my kids would love that open space.
Here in Japan they’d probably build 4 or 5 houses on that land!
That’s not a garden – that’s a football pitch. It’s enormous. You must spend half your life mowing it. Looks fantastic.
I do sometimes feel I spend most of summer mowing and pulling out weeds! I do love it though and although it’s never as tidy as these immaculate Belgian gardens I still think it’s ok… we do our best and the kids love the space!
Such a lovely flat outside space. Room to breath. Lovely.
Impressed that you have such a huge garden. Enjoy
Wow you have a lovely big garden,i would love a nice flat garden like yours,i had a big garden once but it was on a hill so it was hard for the kids to play on it,they would love this
Gosh you have a massive garden! Massive!!
Very high maintenance I bet! Lovely photos of your flowers and runner bean!
Coo, that’s a whopper! How big is that? Love the pretty flowers around and I agree with you about the potato flowers.
Well, that’s what I call a massive garden! You are sooo lucky @Kahanka
